Omnicef Plus 200/200mg Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in adults, clearing infection and easing associated symptoms and discomfort.

Uses of Omnicef Plus 200/200mg Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats infections such as bronchitis and sinusitis.
• Urinary Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the urinary tract.
• Other Infections: Treats a range of bacterial infections elsewhere in the body.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Omnicef Plus Tablet 10 consists of two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (200 mg): It works by interrupting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It attaches to specific proteins within the bacterial cell wall, preventing the linkage of peptidoglycan chains, which are crucial for the strength and rigidity of the bacterial cell wall. This weakens the cell wall, causing it to break.
• Ofloxacin (200 mg): A part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, it works by impeding enzymes necessary for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By inhibiting these enzymes, known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, it disrupts DNA synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
