CompositionNebi 5 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and, together with other medicines, stable mild to moderate chronic heart failure in older adults. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing nebivolol 5mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called beta blockers.
This medicine slows the heart rate and also helps relax the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and easing the heart's workload. Take it once a day at the same time, with or without food, and keep taking it even when you feel well. In heart failure, your doctor will start with a low dose and increase it slowly.

Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as this can cause chest pain, a fast heartbeat or a heart attack; your doctor will reduce the dose gradually. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma or other breathing problems, a slow heartbeat or heart block, uncontrolled heart failure, very low blood pressure, severe circulation problems, diabetes, liver disease or thyroid problems, and about other medicines you take. It can hide the warning signs of low blood sugar. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for wheezing, a very slow heartbeat, fainting, worsening breathlessness or ankle swelling. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
