Nebilong Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It may also be used alongside standard treatment to help prevent heart failure in older patients. This medicine contains nebivolol, a type of medicine known as a beta-blocker.
Beta-blockers such as nebivolol are commonly prescribed to help control blood pressure and reduce the strain on the heart. Your doctor may prescribe this tablet on its own or together with other blood pressure medicines to achieve better control. Take it as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often causes no symptoms; do not stop it suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Alongside this medicine, reducing salt intake, staying physically active as advised by your doctor, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol can help support blood pressure control. If you have heart failure, weighing yourself regularly and watching for sudden weight gain or swelling can help detect fluid build-up early.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma or breathing problems, a slow heartbeat, or liver problems, or if you are taking other medicines. Tell your doctor if you notice a very slow heartbeat, dizziness, or difficulty breathing. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
