MOXONOL 0.3 TABLET 10 is used to lower and control high blood pressure in adults, either on its own or alongside other blood pressure medicines, helping to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage.

Uses of MOXONOL 0.3 TABLET 10 are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Essential Hypertension: Used in the management of essential hypertension.

Follow these instructions while taking MOXONOL 0.3 TABLET 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

MOXONOL 0.3 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

MOXONOL 0.3 TABLET 10 contains Moxonidine (0.3 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Stimulates Imidazoline Receptors: Moxonidine activates specific receptors called imidazoline receptors located in the brainstem of your brain, which help regulate blood pressure.

• Reduces Sympathetic Nervous System Activity: By acting on these brain receptors, moxonidine decreases the activity of your sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the "fight or flight" stress response that can raise blood pressure.

• Promotes Blood Vessel Relaxation: This medicine causes your blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), allowing blood to flow more easily with less pressure against vessel walls.

• Decreases Vascular Resistance: By widening blood vessels, moxonidine reduces the resistance to blood flow, which directly lowers both your systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings.

• Store at room temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until ready for use.

• Protect from light and moisture; do not store in the bathroom.

• Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
