Nefrosave Keto-DS Tablet is used for:

• Managing kidney damage in patients with chronic kidney disease stages 3 to 5 who are not on dialysis.

• Reducing blood urea levels and improving urea clearance.

• Slowing down the progression of kidney dysfunction by decreasing proteinuria.

• Improving nutritional status and preventing muscle wasting in chronic kidney disease patients.

• Alleviating symptoms associated with chronic kidney disease such as nausea, vomiting, anorexia, and weakness.

• Delaying the need to initiate dialysis treatment in end-stage renal disease.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The tablet is ideally taken during or immediately after meals.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Nefrosave Keto-DS Tablet consists of multiple active ingredients that work together to manage kidney damage:

• Calcium 2-oxo-3-phenylpropionate (136 mg): This component acts as a nitrogen-free analogue of an essential amino acid called phenylalanine, helping to maintain protein synthesis while reducing urea formation and workload on kidneys.

• Calcium 3-methyl-2-oxobutyrate (172 mg): Similar to the above ingredient, this component serves as a nitrogen-free analogue of another essential amino acid called valine.

• Calcium 3-methyl-2-oxovalerate (134 mg), Calcium 4-methyl-2-oxovalerate (202 mg), and Calcium DL-2-hydroxy-4-butyrate (118 mg): These components play similar roles by acting as nitrogen-free analogues of essential amino acids isoleucine and leucine, and a hydroxy acid related to threonine respectively.

• L-Histidine (76 mg), L-Lysine (210 mg), L-Threonine (106 mg), L-Tryptophan (46 mg) and L-Tyrosine (60 mg): These are essential and non-essential amino acids which supplement low-protein diets to prevent deficiencies, stimulate protein synthesis, inhibit protein degradation, and may have additional renoprotective effects by reducing oxidative stress, inflammation and fibrosis in kidney tissues.
