Monticope Suspension may cause side effects including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dry mouth, skin rash, dizziness, fatigue, mild respiratory tract infections, abdominal discomfort, and increased liver enzymes. If these effects continue or worsen, consult your doctor for further evaluation.

Administer Monticope Suspension to your child as follows:

• Use the measuring cup provided with the bottle to give your child the correct dose.
• Ensure the bottle is securely capped after each use.
• As Monticope Suspension is sugar-based, extra caution is required if your child has diabetes. Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to your child.
• Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding how and when to give this medicine.

Monticope Suspension is given orally.

Monticope Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This is an antihistamine that works by blocking a substance called histamine in your body. Histamine is released by the body during an allergic reaction and causes symptoms like sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. By inhibiting histamine, levocetirizine effectively reduces these allergy symptoms.
• Montelukast (4 mg): As a leukotriene receptor antagonist, montelukast works by blocking substances called leukotrienes in your body. Leukotrienes cause narrowing and swelling of airways in the lungs and also lead to symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath. By blocking leukotrienes, montelukast helps reduce these symptoms and makes breathing easier.

• Store Monticope Suspension in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it at a cool room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.
• Never leave the product in direct sunlight or damp places like the bathroom.
• Always keep Monticope Suspension safely out of the reach of children.

• If Monticope Suspension is prescribed for managing your child's allergies, make sure their diet is free from known allergens. This could include foods such as nuts, shellfish, milk, or eggs.
• Encourage your child to wash their hands frequently and keep their surroundings clean. This helps reduce exposure to allergens that might exacerbate their allergic reactions.
