Cozimont L Syrup 60 ML is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Allergic Rhinitis (allergy symptoms like a runny nose, itchy nose, and sneezing)
• Perennial Allergic Rhinitis (an all-year-round allergic reaction)
• Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (allergies that occur during specific seasons)
• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (persistent hives and itching in children)
• Prevention of Asthma Symptoms

Give your child Cozimont L Syrup 60 ML as follows:

1. Shake the bottle well before giving this medicine to your child.
2. Measure out the exact quantity recommended by your doctor using a spoon or cup.
3. Follow the doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration for using Cozimont L Syrup 60 ML.
4. This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in patients with diabetes. If your child has diabetes, consult with your doctor before giving them this medicine.

Cozimont L Syrup 60 ML is given to your child orally.

Cozimont L Syrup 60 ML contains two active ingredients:

Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This ingredient works as a selective H1-receptor antagonist. What this means is that it blocks histamine activity. Histamines are chemicals that trigger allergy symptoms. By blocking their activity, levocetirizine helps reduce these symptoms.

Montelukast (4 mg): This ingredient is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by inhibiting a specific receptor called CysLT1 receptor in our body. Leukotrienes are substances our body releases when we breathe in an allergen such as pollen. They cause swelling and inflammation in your lungs and tightening of the muscles around your airways which can result in asthma symptoms. By blocking these receptors, montelukast helps prevent these symptoms.
