Linanext M Er 5/500 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Linanext M Er 5/500 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine daily, preferably with meals.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for the best results.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's nearly time for your next dose.

• Never take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.

Linanext M Er 5/500 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Linagliptin (5 mg): This component works as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, blocking an enzyme that breaks down incretin hormones in your body. This action increases insulin release after meals and reduces the amount of glucose produced by your liver.

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production in your liver, a process called hepatic gluconeogenesis. It also delays glucose absorption from your intestines and improves how your body responds to insulin, making your cells more sensitive to insulin's effects.
