Laveta M Syrup 60ml

Laveta M Syrup is used to manage various allergy symptoms in both children and adults. It provides relief from sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and watery eyes. The syrup is also effective for treating asthma-related symptoms, offering relief from chronic skin conditions like urticaria, and overall allergy relief. It is prescribed as maintenance therapy for asthma and helps manage acute asthma exacerbations, as well as chronic urticaria, which causes itchy welts on the skin.

Give your child Laveta M Syrup as follows:

• Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to measure the correct dose of the syrup.
• Ensure the bottle is kept well-sealed after use.
• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use if your child has diabetes. If so, please consult your doctor before giving them this syrup.
• Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure the medication is properly mixed.

Laveta M Syrup is given orally.

Laveta M Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This component acts as an antagonist or blocker of histamine H1 receptors. Histamine is a chemical that our bodies release during an allergic reaction, causing symptoms like itching, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. By blocking the activity of histamine, levocetirizine offers fast and prolonged relief from these symptoms.
• Montelukast (4 mg): Montelukast works by selectively blocking leukotriene receptors, particularly type CysLT1. Our bodies release leukotrienes, type of inflammatory chemicals, during allergic reactions; they contribute to inflammation in the airways, secretion of mucus, and bronchospasm (constriction of the airways). By binding to CysLT1 receptors, montelukast prevents the effects of leukotrienes, thereby reducing allergy symptoms and preventing bronchospasm. It also has some mild anti-inflammatory effects.

• Store Laveta M Syrup at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.
• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.
• Keep it securely out of the reach of children.
• Always make sure to use this medicine before its expiry date.

• Limiting your child's exposure to allergens like dust mites, mould, pet dander, and certain foods can help manage their allergic symptoms better.
• Encourage your child to stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of fluids can help in thinning of the mucus in the nasal passages, reducing symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
