Laveta M Syrup is used to treat seasonal allergies, hay fever, and to help manage allergic asthma symptoms in children. It helps clear a stuffy or runny nose, stops sneezing, and reduces the inflammation in the airways that causes wheezing. It is an excellent daily maintenance therapy for children who suffer from frequent allergy flare-ups or exercise-induced asthma.
This syrup contains Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, and Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Levocetirizine stops the immediate ""allergic"" response like itching and sneezing. Montelukast blocks a chemical called leukotriene, which causes swelling and mucus buildup in the nose and lungs. Together, they provide both immediate relief and long-term protection against allergic triggers.
Administer the dose once daily, preferably in the evening, as prescribed by your pediatrician. It can be taken with or without food. Inform your doctor if your child experiences any unusual mood changes or sleep disturbances. Continue the medication for the full duration of the allergy season for the best results.
