Justoza 10 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus by helping the body remove excess sugar through the urine. It contains dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, and also helps reduce the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow it whole with water. It is important to continue taking it regularly, even if you feel well, as maintaining stable blood sugar levels helps prevent long-term complications such as kidney damage and heart disease.
Staying well hydrated is particularly important with this medicine, as it works by removing sugar through urine. Following a controlled carbohydrate diet, staying physically active, and monitoring your blood sugar levels regularly, as advised by your doctor, can further support treatment.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, a history of urinary tract infections, or are prone to dehydration. Seek medical advice immediately if you notice signs of a urinary or genital infection, or sudden, unexplained tiredness and nausea, as these may need urgent attention. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
