Sugaflo 10 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Alongside controlling blood sugar, it helps reduce the risk of related complications, including kidney disease, cardiovascular death and hospital admission for heart failure, particularly in those with established heart disease. It contains dapagliflozin.
It belongs to a class of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors, which work independently of insulin by helping the kidneys remove excess sugar from the body through urine. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, and continue taking it regularly even if you feel well.
Staying well hydrated, eating balanced meals, maintaining a healthy weight and staying physically active can support blood sugar control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems or other medicines you take. Report signs of a urinary tract or genital infection, such as pain on passing urine or itching, and stay well hydrated, particularly in hot weather. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
