Dapaturn 10 Tablet 10

Dapaturn 10 Tablet is used for the management of the following conditions:

• Enhancing blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in conjunction with diet and exercise.

• Lowering the risk of hospitalisation due to heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors.

• Decreasing the risk of sustained decline in eGFR (a measure of kidney function), end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, and hospitalisation for heart failure in adults with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Dapaturn 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Dapaturn 10 Tablet contains dapagliflozin (10 mg) and works on your body in the following ways:

• SGLT2 Inhibition: Dapagliflozin blocks a protein called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) in your kidneys. This protein usually helps your kidneys reabsorb glucose from your urine back into your bloodstream.

• Increased Glucose Excretion: By inhibiting SGLT2, dapagliflozin prevents glucose reabsorption, increasing the amount of glucose excreted through urine.

• Lower Blood Sugar Levels: With less glucose being reabsorbed into your bloodstream, dapagliflozin effectively reduces your blood sugar levels.

• Keep your Dapaturn 10 Tablet in a tightly closed container.

• Store it at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Make sure it is protected from moisture and light.

• Always keep the medication out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Maintain a balanced diet with limited sugar intake to help manage your type 2 diabetes mellitus.
