Daplo 10 Tablet 10

Daplo 10 Tablet is used in adults with type 2 diabetes to improve blood sugar control and to help reduce the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure and slow the progression of chronic kidney disease.

Uses of Daplo 10 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Improves blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Heart Failure Risk Reduction: Helps reduce the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure.
• Kidney Protection: Slows the progression of chronic kidney disease.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, do not crush or chew it.
• You can take this medicine in the morning, with or without food.
• Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage. Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
• Do not discontinue this medicine suddenly without speaking to your doctor first.

Daplo 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Daplo 10 Tablet contain Dapagliflozin (10 mg), which works in the following manner:

• Selective SGLT2 Inhibition: Dapagliflozin selectively inhibits sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) situated in the proximal renal tubules. SGLT2 is responsible for reabsorbing most of the glucose that the kidneys filter out.
• Reduction in Glucose Reabsorption: By inhibiting SGLT2, Dapagliflozin decreases renal glucose reabsorption. This means less glucose is absorbed back into the blood from the kidneys.
• Increase in Urinary Glucose Excretion: As a result of reduced glucose reabsorption, more glucose is excreted through urine.
• Lowering Blood Glucose Levels: The increased urinary glucose excretion leads to lower blood glucose levels. This helps in improving glycemic control, which is an essential aspect of managing type 2 diabetes mellitus.

• Store Daplo 10 Tablet in a cool place, ideally at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C.
• Avoid exposing the medicine to direct sunlight or moisture.
• Keep the medicine safely out of the reach of children.
• Always use the medicine before its expiry date.
