Grandem Injection is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting in adults, particularly around chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.

Uses of Grandem Injection are:

• Chemotherapy Sickness: Prevents nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy.
• Radiotherapy Sickness: Helps control nausea from radiotherapy.
• After Surgery: Prevents and treats sickness after an operation.

When administering Grandem Injection 1ml, follow these steps:

• The injection is to be administered only by a trained healthcare professional.

• It should not be self-administered at home.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the timing of your injections.

• If you are due an injection but cannot reach your doctor's office, consult your doctor about rescheduling.

• Do not attempt to catch up on missed doses without consulting your doctor.

Grandem Injection 1ml is administered intravenously.

Grandem Injection 1ml contains granisetron (1 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• 5-HT3 Receptor Antagonist: Granisetron works by specifically targeting and blocking the 5-HT3 receptors located in your body's chemoreceptor trigger zone and gastrointestinal tract. These receptors are part of the mechanism that triggers the urge to vomit.
