Graniforce-MD Tablet is used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. It contains granisetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, and is effective in managing these symptoms specifically, though it does not address other side effects associated with these treatments.
Granisetron works by blocking serotonin receptors in the gut and brain that trigger the vomiting reflex, which prevents and controls nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
This orally-dissolving tablet is placed on the tongue, where it dissolves without needing water, and is usually taken before chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery, exactly as your doctor prescribes.
Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem, or a family history of one, as granisetron can rarely affect the heart's electrical activity. Report palpitations, fainting or severe constipation to your doctor.
