Floxsafe 400 MG Infusion interacts with the following medicines:

• Antacids and products containing divalent and trivalent cations: These can interfere with the absorption of moxifloxacin, reducing its effectiveness. Examples include antacids containing aluminium or magnesium, and multivitamins.
• Medications metabolised by CYP1A2: Moxifloxacin is a mild to moderate inhibitor of this enzyme, so it may increase the plasma concentrations of medicines metabolised by CYP1A2. Such medicines include theophylline and caffeine.
• Medicines that prolong the QT interval: These should be used with caution as they can add to the QT-prolonging effect of moxifloxacin. Examples include class IA or III antiarrhythmics, tricyclic antidepressants, and certain antipsychotics.

Floxsafe 400 MG Infusion interacts with the following diseases:

• Tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolones: The medicine shouldn't be used by patients with a history of these conditions as it can increase risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture.
• Electrolyte abnormalities and congenital long QT syndrome: Moxifloxacin may cause QT prolongation; it should be used with caution in patients with these conditions.
• Severe renal impairment: Dose adjustments may be necessary due to decreased excretion of the medication.
• Severe hepatic impairment: Moxifloxacin should be used cautiously in such patients because there is limited clinical experience in this population.

If you're accidentally administered more than the prescribed dose of Floxsafe 400 MG Infusion, you may experience nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, or vomiting. If these persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

If you miss a regular dose of Floxsafe 400 MG Infusion, administer as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with your regular schedule. Never increase the dosage without consulting your doctor.
