Macflox Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Antacids and mineral supplements: These can lower the effectiveness of Macflox Tablet, as they may reduce the absorption of moxifloxacin. Examples include aluminium or magnesium-containing antacids, sucralfate, and iron or zinc supplements.

• Blood thinners: Medicines like warfarin may interact with Macflox Tablet, increasing your risk of bleeding.

• Antidiabetic agents: Moxifloxacin can interfere with blood sugar control. When taken with antidiabetic mediciations such as metformin or glimepiride, you might experience changes in your blood sugar levels.

• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Taking NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or naproxen with this tablet can increase the risk of central nervous system stimulation and seizures.

• Diuretics: Diuretics such as furosemide and

  hydrochlorothiazide may increase the risk of torsade de pointes (a type of abnormal heart rhythm)

  when given with moxifloxacin.

Certain foods can interact with Macflox Tablet.

• Dairy Products: Foods rich in calcium, such as milk and cheese, may decrease moxifloxacin absorption.

Macflox Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Myasthenia gravis: People with this muscle weakness disorder should be cautious when taking Macflox Tablet, as it may worsen their symptoms.

• Heart conditions: If you have a history of QT prolongation or an imbalance in your body's electrolytes, use this medicine carefully. It can affect your heart rhythm, leading to a potentially serious condition called torsades de pointes.

• Hypokalaemia: If you have low amounts of potassium in your blood, moxifloxacin may increase your risk of getting torsade de pointes or having a fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat.

Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate daily dosage of Macflox Tablet for you based on your individual circumstances, such as the severity of your condition and how well you respond to the medication. It's crucial to follow your doctor's instructions carefully and not exceed the prescribed dosage without their advice.

If you accidentally take an excess of Macflox Tablet, it may result in common overdose symptoms such as dizziness, confusion, vomiting, diarrhoea, and tremors. If you experience these symptoms, seek medical advice from your doctor.

If you forget to take a dose of Macflox Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, don't worry about the missed one and just carry on with your normal schedule. Remember not to double up on doses without consulting your doctor.
