Etova-MR Tablet is used for the short-term relief of painful muscle spasm and related pain and inflammation, such as in back pain, neck pain and sprains. It is a combination medicine containing etodolac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID), and thiocolchicoside, a muscle relaxant.
This medicine helps reduce pain and stiffness and improve movement during recovery from injuries or spinal problems. Take it after food with a glass of water, in the dose prescribed by your doctor. It is intended for short-term use only, usually a few days.
Resting the affected area, applying a warm compress, and gentle stretching or physiotherapy once your doctor agrees can support recovery.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or could become pregnant and are not using effective contraception, as thiocolchicoside may harm an unborn baby. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have had stomach ulcers or bleeding, epilepsy, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take. Seek medical help if you notice black stools, vomiting of blood or a fit (seizure). Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
