CompositionDosetil Cream is a medicine used to manage inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis in adults and children above three months of age. Applied to the affected area, it helps calm inflamed, itchy, and irritated skin.
It contains desonide, a mild topical corticosteroid. Apply a thin layer gently to the clean, dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it on the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically instructed, and do not use it for longer than advised.
Good skin care practices support treatment alongside this cream. Keep the skin well moisturised with a gentle, fragrance-free emollient, avoid harsh soaps and very hot water, and try to identify and avoid skin triggers such as synthetic fabrics or harsh chemicals.
Before using this cream, tell your doctor if you have a bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infection, or thin, fragile skin. Long-term or excessive use can cause skin thinning or other local reactions, so use it strictly as prescribed. Consult your doctor if your skin does not improve or if new symptoms develop.
