Dosetil Cream is used to manage inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Applied to the affected area, it reduces redness, itching, swelling and irritation by calming the local immune response in the skin.
This cream contains desonide, a mild topical corticosteroid. Apply a thin layer to the clean, dry affected area as prescribed. Do not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless your doctor has told you to, and do not use it for longer than the duration advised by your doctor.
Keep the skin well moisturised with a gentle, fragrance-free emollient, avoid harsh soaps and very hot water, and try to identify and avoid triggers such as certain fabrics or irritants that can worsen flare-ups.
Tell your doctor if you have a skin infection, thin or fragile skin, or are using other topical treatments before starting this cream. Long-term or excessive use can lead to thinning of the skin, so use it exactly as prescribed. Consult your doctor if the affected area does not improve or if new skin changes appear.
