This medicine works by calming the overactive local immune response in the skin, which reduces inflammation, redness, swelling and itching in mild to moderate inflammatory skin conditions in children.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area, usually once or twice daily as your doctor advises, and use only for the recommended period, since prolonged use of a steroid-containing lotion can thin the skin.
Avoid using on the face for extended periods unless specifically directed, and avoid covering the area with airtight dressings. Tell your doctor if your child's skin does not improve, or if you notice thinning or unusual changes in the treated area.
