Linares E Tablet 10

Linares-E Tablet is used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and improving blood sugar control in adults. It is part of a comprehensive diabetes management programme and helps in the prevention or delay of long-term complications related to diabetes, such as cardiovascular disease, kidney damage, nerve issues, and vision loss.

When using Linares-E Tablet, you should proceed as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• It can be taken with or without food.
• Try to take the medicine at the same time each day for consistency.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Linares-E Tablet is taken orally.

Linares-E Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Empagliflozin (25 mg): As a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, empagliflozin works by reducing glucose reabsorption in your kidneys. This results in increased excretion of excess glucose through urine, thus helping to lower blood sugar levels. By doing so, empagliflozin also promotes modest weight loss and blood pressure reduction.
• Linagliptin (5 mg): This dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor increases the levels of certain hormones that stimulate your pancreas to produce more insulin when blood sugar is high and reduce glucagon secretion when it's not needed. These hormones are known as incretin hormones, such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). This helps regulate your blood glucose levels, especially after meals.

The combination of empagliflozin and linagliptin works together to provide comprehensive glycemic control in the management of type 2 diabetes. Additionally, this combination may offer cardiovascular benefits, potentially reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes or cardiovascular death in at-risk patients.
