CTD-T AM 6.25/40/5 Tablet is used in the management of high blood pressure in adults, particularly when a single blood pressure medicine does not provide adequate control on its own.

Uses of CTD-T AM 6.25/40/5 Tablet are:

When taking CTD-T Am 6.25/40/5 Tablet, adhere to these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Avoid changing your dose or stopping the medicine without consulting your doctor.

• Remember, this medicine can be taken with or without food.

CTD-T Am 6.25/40/5 Tablet is taken orally.

CTD-T Am 6.25/40/5 Tablet comprises the following active ingredients:

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): Classified as a thiazide-like diuretic, it increases the removal of excess salt and water from your body. This is achieved by blocking the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in your kidneys, leading to a decrease in blood volume and, thus, lower blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ARB selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor. Angiotensin II is a hormone that narrows blood vessels and increases blood volume, thus raising blood pressure. By inhibiting its effects, telmisartan widens blood vessels, helping to lower blood pressure.

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker reduces the entry of calcium ions into the vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. This action relaxes and widens blood vessels, thus reducing blood pressure.

• Keep CTD-T Am 6.25/40/5 Tablet at room temperature, not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

• To help manage hypertension, try to reduce your salt intake. Too much salt can raise your blood pressure.
