Telmisartan (40 mg): This ARB selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor. Angiotensin II is a hormone that narrows blood vessels and increases blood volume, thus raising blood pressure. By inhibiting its effects, telmisartan widens blood vessels, helping to lower blood pressure.
Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker reduces the entry of calcium ions into the vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. This action relaxes and widens blood vessels, thus reducing blood pressure.

Pregnancy

CTD-T Am 6.25/40/5 Tablet should be avoided during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Breastfeeding
