Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker. It functions by relaxing and widening your blood vessels, reducing the resistance against which your heart has to pump blood.
Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): Classified as a thiazide-like diuretic, chlorthalidone works by increasing urine output, in turn reducing blood volume and pressure. It achieves this by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in your kidneys.
Telmisartan (40 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker, telmisartan relaxes your blood vessels and decreases blood volume. It does this by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to certain receptors in your body, preventing the tightening of blood vessels and secretion of aldosterone, a hormone that can increase blood pressure.

Pregnancy
