Cilacar T 80 Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of essential hypertension in adults

• Management of high blood pressure

• Reduction of cardiovascular risks

• Prevention of heart attacks

• Prevention of strokes

• Lowering peripheral resistance in blood vessels

• Blood pressure control in difficult-to-manage cases

• Cardiovascular protection in high-risk patients

Follow these instructions while taking Cilacar T 80 Tablet:

• Take one tablet once daily with a sufficient amount of water.

• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• If you have any concerns about how to take this medicine, consult your doctor.

Cilacar T 80 Tablet is taken orally.

Cilacar T 80 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker that acts on the L-type calcium channels in blood vessel muscles. By blocking these channels, it prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells, causing the blood vessels to relax and widen. This relaxation reduces resistance to blood flow and lowers blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (80 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively binds to angiotensin II type 1 receptors. By blocking these receptors, it prevents the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. This blocking action helps blood vessels remain relaxed and open, reducing blood pressure and decreasing the workload on your heart.

• Store Cilacar T 80 Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep the medicine protected from moisture and light.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Dispose of unused or expired medicine properly.

• Reduce salt intake: Limit your consumption of high-sodium foods like processed meals, canned soups, and salty snacks, as high salt intake can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension).

• Regular physical activity: Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise (such as brisk walking) most days of the week to help lower blood pressure naturally and improve the effectiveness of your blood pressure medicine.
