Ascodex Junior Syrup 60ml

Ascodex Junior Syrup is used to manage symptoms of the common cold, including coughing and upper respiratory discomfort. It provides relief from dry, nonproductive coughs in children, reduces sneezing, itching of the nose, throat, or eyes, and runny nose triggered by allergies. It also helps lessen nasal congestion and sinus pressure associated with colds and allergies.

Administer Ascodex Junior Syrup to your child as follows:

• Use a measuring spoon or cup for correct dosing.
• The syrup can be given with or without food.
• Remember to shake the bottle well before each use.
• This medicine is sugar-based, so if your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving it to them.
• To prevent contamination, do not mix this syrup with other liquids.
• Always remember to cap the bottle securely after use.

Ascodex Junior Syrup is given orally to your child.

Ascodex Junior Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together to provide relief from cold and allergy symptoms:

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): This antihistamine works by blocking histamine H1 receptors in your child's body. By doing so, it helps prevent histamine-linked symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes.
• Dextromethorphan (10 mg): This cough suppressant works on the cough center in your child's brain. It increases the threshold for triggering a cough response, reducing the urge to cough.
• Phenylephrine (5 mg): This decongestant stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal lining. This leads to the narrowing of blood vessels (vasoconstriction), which reduces blood flow and inflammation. The result is less swelling and an opening up of nasal passages.

• Store Ascodex Junior Syrup at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
• The medicine should be kept away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Ensure the bottle is tightly sealed when not in use to prevent spoilage.
• Always keep the syrup out of your child's reach to avoid accidental ingestion.
