Ascodex Junior Syrup is used to treat cough, congestion, and throat irritation in children. It helps loosen mucus, eases breathing, and provides quick relief from cold symptoms. It is often recommended for respiratory tract infections in pediatric care.

Administer Ascodex Junior Syrup to your child as follows:

• Use a measuring spoon or cup for correct dosing.
• The syrup can be given with or without food.

Ascodex Junior Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together to provide relief from cold and allergy symptoms:

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): This antihistamine works by blocking histamine H1 receptors in your child's body. By doing so, it helps prevent histamine-linked symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes.
• Dextromethorphan (10 mg): This cough suppressant works on the cough center in your child's brain. It increases the threshold for triggering a cough response, reducing the urge to cough.
• Phenylephrine (5 mg): This decongestant stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal lining. This leads to the narrowing of blood vessels (vasoconstriction), which reduces blood flow and inflammation. The result is less swelling and an opening up of nasal passages.

• Store Ascodex Junior Syrup at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
