Chericof Syrup can interact with medications, including:

• Antihypertensive medications such as debrisoquine, guanethidine, and reserpine. This syrup can reduce the effect of these medications.
• Antidepressants such as fluoxetine, amitriptyline and paroxetine. These can increase the syrup concentration in the blood.
• Antiarrhythmic medications such as quinidine and digoxin. These medications can increase the syrup concentration in the blood.
• Antifungal medications such as terbinafine. It can increase the Chericof Syrup concentration in the blood.
• Tricyclic Antidepressants such as amitriptyline. The concomitant use of this syrup with amitriptyline may increase the risk of heart side effects.
• Ergot alkaloid, such as ergotamine and methysergide. Simultaneous use of this syrup with these medicines increases the risk of ergotism (a condition caused by the ingestion of ergot-contaminated grains, particularly rye).

Chericof Syrup can interact with diseases, including:

• Cardiovascular disorders: This syrup may increase the risk of hypotension, hypertension, irregular heartbeats, chest pain, and palpitations.
• Urinary retention: This syrup can cause difficulty in urination and urinary retention.
• Respiratory problems: This syrup can result in chest tightness, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
• Liver dysfunction: This syrup can increase the risk of liver dysfunction, including hepatitis and jaundice.
• Kidney disease: Impaired renal function can lead to the risk of decreased clearance and, thereby, increases the blood concentration of this syrup.
