CompositionApdrops Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis, keratitis, and corneal ulcers. They work by stopping the growth and spread of bacteria responsible for the infection, clearing redness, discharge, and irritation.
It contains moxifloxacin 0.5%, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial replication. Its broad-spectrum action covers both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria commonly found in eye infections, including many strains resistant to older antibiotics.
Instil the drops into the affected eye as directed. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Remove contact lenses before use and do not reinsert during the course of treatment. Complete the full prescribed course.
Mild burning, stinging, or light sensitivity after instillation are common and usually temporary. Tell your doctor if the infection does not improve within two days or if eye pain or changes in vision develop during treatment.
