4 Quin Eye Ointment is used to treat bacterial eye infections, such as conjunctivitis, and infections of the eyelids and the surface of the eye. It helps clear the infection and relieve symptoms such as redness, irritation, and discharge.
It contains moxifloxacin, an antibiotic that acts against a broad range of bacteria by stopping them from multiplying. The ointment stays in contact with the eye surface for a while, which makes it useful for overnight use. Apply it as directed by your doctor.
Simple measures support treatment. Avoid touching the tube tip to the eye or any surface, and do not share the ointment or eye make-up while you have an infection.
Complete the full course exactly as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve early, to clear the infection fully. As the ointment can temporarily blur vision, avoid driving or using machinery straight after applying it. Tell your doctor if the irritation worsens or does not settle.
