Mosi Eye Drops is a medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eye. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye), helping to clear the infection, reduce redness, and reduce the risk of spreading the infection to the other eye or to other individuals.
It contains moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial enzymes needed for DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death.
Proper administration and strict personal hygiene form an important part of supporting your eye's recovery. Always wash your hands thoroughly before use, tilt your head back slightly, and pull down your lower eyelid to carefully instil the drops as advised by your doctor.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any other eye conditions or are using other ophthalmic medications. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip to any surface including your eye, and wait at least fifteen minutes after use before reinserting contact lenses.
