Moxiford Eye Drops is a sterile prescription antibiotic solution used to treat external bacterial infections of the eyes, such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and superficial corneal irritation.
It contains moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication and repair enzymes, stopping the bacteria from multiplying and rapidly clearing the localised infection.
Instill the exact number of drops into the affected eye as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to maintain sterility.
Complete the full prescribed duration even if symptoms clear up in a few days. Do not use contact lenses while treating an eye infection, and inform your doctor if you experience severe burning or localised swelling.
