Moxiquin Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye), helping to clear the infection and relieve associated symptoms. This medicine contains moxifloxacin, an antibiotic that works by stopping the bacteria responsible for the infection from multiplying.
Wash your hands before use, and use the drops exactly as prescribed, taking care not to touch the dropper tip to your eye or any surface, to avoid contaminating the solution. Complete the full course even if your symptoms improve early, to help fully clear the infection.
Avoid wearing contact lenses while you have symptoms of an eye infection, and only resume use once your doctor confirms it is safe to do so. Using a clean tissue to wipe away any discharge can help keep the eye area clean.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any known allergy to fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Seek medical attention promptly if your symptoms worsen, or if you notice significant vision changes or persistent pain, as this medicine is not effective against viral or fungal eye infections.
