Zeblong T 8/40 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Prevention of cardiovascular events

• Reducing risk of heart attacks

• Widening and relaxing blood vessels

• Decreasing peripheral vascular resistance

• Reducing workload on the heart

• Managing hypertension in kidney problems

Follow these instructions while taking Zeblong T 8/40 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take it at the same time each day for best results.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well.

• Avoid stopping the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Zeblong T 8/40 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Azelnidipine (8 mg): This component belongs to calcium channel blockers. It prevents calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels, causing them to relax and widen (vasodilation). This action reduces resistance in the blood vessels and helps lower blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this narrowing effect, telmisartan allows blood vessels to remain relaxed, which helps reduce blood pressure.

• Store Zeblong T 8/40 Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Store the medication in a cool, dark and dry place.

• Keep away from direct heat, light and moisture.

• Do not store in the bathroom.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use the medicine after its expiry date printed on the package.

• Reduce your salt intake to help manage hypertension (high blood pressure). Try flavouring foods with herbs and spices instead of salt, and avoid processed foods which often contain hidden sodium.

• Regular physical activity helps lower blood pressure naturally. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise like brisk walking, swimming or cycling most days of the week.
