Uniaz T 40 Tablet is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Uniaz T 40 Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's best to avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Take your dose consistently at the same time each day, for steady effect.

Uniaz T 40 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work synergistically to control blood pressure:

• Azelnidipine (8 mg): This is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the inflow of calcium ions into the muscle cells of your blood vessels. By reducing the concentration of calcium within these cells, Azelnidipine causes your blood vessels to widen, decreasing peripheral vascular resistance and thereby reducing blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient is an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors in your body. Angiotensin II is a substance that can constrict your blood vessels and increase blood volume, raising blood pressure. By blocking its effects, Telmisartan promotes the dilation of blood vessels, reduces blood volume, and thus helps to lower blood pressure.
