Cortel Az 40/8 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Azelnidipine (8 mg): This component belongs to calcium channel blockers. It prevents calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels, causing them to relax and widen (vasodilation). This action reduces resistance in the blood vessels and helps lower blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this narrowing effect, telmisartan allows blood vessels to remain relaxed, which helps reduce blood pressure.

• Store the medication in a cool, dark and dry place.

• Do not store in the bathroom.
