Vomivert Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of vertigo such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness.
• Preventing and managing motion sickness.
• Controlling symptoms associated with Ménière's disease, a condition that affects balance and hearing.

Here's how you should take Vomivert Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't crush or chew it.
• Take the tablet preferably with meals to avoid stomach upset.
• In case you are taking this medicine to prevent motion sickness, take one tablet 30 minutes before your journey begins.

Vomivert Tablet 10 comprises two active ingredients which work together to manage symptoms of motion sickness and vertigo:

• Cinnarizine (20 mg): As a calcium channel blocker, cinnarizine acts on the inner ear by reducing vasoconstriction. This means it prevents blood vessels from narrowing, thereby improving microcirculation and reducing pressure within the inner ear. Additionally, cinnarizine blocks H1 receptors, exhibiting antihistaminic properties.
• Dimenhydrinate (40 mg): This ingredient works as an antihistamine and anticholinergic agent. Essentially, it suppresses activity in the vestibular system – a part of the inner ear that helps maintain balance – thereby reducing vertigo and nausea. Dimenhydrinate also inhibits the chemoreceptor trigger zone, an area in your brain that controls vomiting.
