Gemvert Tablet is used to manage vertigo and related symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, and vomiting caused by conditions affecting the inner ear or nervous system.

Uses of Gemvert Tablet are:

• Vertigo: Helps manage vertigo from various causes, including benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
• Meniere's Disease: Eases episodes of vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and hearing loss.
• Inner Ear Disorders: Helps manage vertigo and dizziness caused by vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis.
• Motion Sickness: Helps relieve nausea and imbalance caused by travel-related motion sickness.

Here are some instructions to guide you when using Gemvert Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It's key that you don't take more than your doctor's recommended dose.

• Prior to stopping this medicine, it's important to consult your doctor.

Gemvert Tablet is taken orally.

Gemvert Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Cinnarizine (20 mg): This component acts as a calcium channel blocker and antihistamine. It works by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels in your inner ear which improves blood circulation. Cinnarizine also blocks the action of histamine, a chemical messenger involved in causing motion sickness and vertigo.

• Dimenhydrinate (40 mg): As an antihistamine, dimenhydrinate acts on your vestibular system which is responsible for maintaining balance and spatial orientation. By blocking histamine in the brain and inner ear, it helps reduce the symptoms of vertigo.

The combination of these two components provides a synergistic effect in managing vertigo by targeting different pathways involved in the condition.

• Store Gemvert Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container to protect it from light and moisture.

• Place the medicine in a location not easily accessible by children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• To manage vertigo symptoms, consider reducing your intake of caffeine and alcohol which can interfere with blood circulation in the inner ear.
