Composition

Amlodipine (5 Mg) + Metoprolol Succinate (50 Mg)

Vinicor-AM 50/5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and may also help control chronic stable angina when prescribed. It is a combination medicine containing amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and metoprolol succinate, a beta-blocker.

Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, while metoprolol succinate slows the heart rate and reduces the heart’s workload. Together, these actions help lower blood pressure and reduce myocardial oxygen demand.

Restrict salt from pickles, papad and packaged snacks, stay physically active, keep to a healthy weight and limit alcohol.

Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems or heart conditions, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Avoid this medicine if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Report swelling of the feet or ankles, palpitations, or chest pain that worsens. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Combination Therapy: Provides better blood pressure control when a single medicine is not enough.

Here are the steps to take Vinicor-Am 50/5 Tablet correctly:

Take this medicine as recommended by your doctor.
Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Vinicor-Am 50/5 Tablet is taken orally.
