Valrate Cr 500 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing various types of epileptic seizures, including absence seizures, complex partial seizures, and generalised tonic-clonic seizures.
• Managing manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
• Preventing migraine headaches.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take this medicine as directed by your doctor.
• Abruptly stopping this medicine can worsen your condition. Always consult your doctor before making any changes to how you take this medication.

Valrate Cr 500 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Valrate Cr 500 Tablet 10 contains sodium valproate/valproic acid (500 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Increases GABA Levels: Sodium valproate/valproic acid increases the levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in your brain. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that calms down nerve activity in the brain.
