Noxval Chrono 333/145 Mg Tablet 10 is used to control epilepsy (partial and generalised seizures), to manage manic episodes in bipolar disorder, and to help prevent migraine in adults.
It contains sodium valproate, an anticonvulsant and mood stabiliser. It works by calming overactive nerve signals in the brain.
Take it with food as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures. Regular blood tests monitor valproate levels and liver function.
This medicine must not be used in pregnancy unless there is no alternative, as it can cause serious birth defects and developmental problems. Women and girls who could become pregnant must use effective contraception as part of a pregnancy prevention programme. Tell your doctor about any liver problems, and report signs of liver trouble (feeling sick, jaundice, unusual tiredness) or unusual bleeding.
