Telsar CH 40/6.25 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is prescribed when blood pressure is not adequately managed with a single medicine, helping helps reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney damage.
It contains telmisartan and chlorthalidone. Take it with or without food as prescribed by your doctor, usually as prescribed. Continue taking it as directed even when your blood pressure readings improve, and do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.
Lifestyle modifications are crucial alongside medicine. These include eating a low-salt, balanced diet, maintaining regular exercise, managing weight, and limiting alcohol intake.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disorders, severe dehydration, low potassium levels, or gout. It must not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure and kidney function periodically.
