Telista-CH 40/6.25 Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. Effective blood pressure management helps prevent damage to vital organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys, and blood vessels, and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.
It contains telmisartan and chlorthalidone. Take the tablet whole with a glass of water as prescribed, with or without food. Do not crush, break, or chew it. Take it consistently at the same time each day, and continue treatment for as long as your doctor advises, even if you feel healthy.
Complementary lifestyle changes are essential for managing hypertension. These include eating a diet low in salt and saturated fat, engaging in daily moderate exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding tobacco and excess alcohol.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, gout, diabetes, or electrolyte imbalances. This medicine is strictly contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Report any unusual symptoms or severe weakness to your doctor.
