Tellzy-Ch 6.25 Tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and fluid retention (oedema). Controlling blood pressure and swelling helps lower strain on the heart and reduces the risk of serious complications such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems.
It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and chlorthalidone, a diuretic. They relax blood vessels and remove excess salt and water. Take it with or without food as prescribed, swallow whole with water, and take it as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure usually has no warning signs. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice.
Lifestyle modifications form an essential part of treatment. These include following a low-salt diet, staying moderately physically active, managing weight, and limiting alcohol intake. Your doctor may also advise keeping track of your daily fluid intake.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney problems, gout, or electrolyte imbalances. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor your kidney function and blood mineral levels.
