Telma 40 Tablet 30

Telma 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and protect the heart and kidneys.

Uses of Telma 40 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Cardiovascular Protection: Reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at high risk.
• Kidney Protection: Helps protect the kidneys in people with diabetes and high blood pressure.

• Take Telma 40 Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a glass of water.
• You can take it with or without food, at the same time each day.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Keep taking it every day, even when you feel well. High blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor.

Telma 40 Tablet is taken by mouth (orally).

Telma 40 Tablet contains Telmisartan 40 mg, a blood-pressure-lowering medicine. It blocks the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that tightens blood vessels. As a result, blood vessels relax and widen, allowing blood to flow more easily and helping to lower blood pressure.

• Store Telma 40 Tablet below 30°C, away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Cut down on salt. Avoid pickles, papads and salty packaged snacks, and flavour food with herbs and spices instead.
• Be active. Aim for about 30 minutes of activity, such as brisk walking, on most days.
• Eat plenty of fruit, vegetables and whole grains, and maintain a healthy weight.
• Manage stress, do not smoke, and limit alcohol.

• Keep taking Telma 40 Tablet every day, even when you feel well. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms.
• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.
• Keep up the blood tests your doctor orders for kidney function and potassium.
• Stand up slowly if you feel dizzy, and limit alcohol, which can add to the dizziness.
