Cresar 40 Tablet is used in adults to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to lower the long-term risk of heart attack and stroke, especially in people at high cardiovascular risk.
It belongs to a group of medicines called angiotensin II receptor blockers, which relax and widen the blood vessels so blood flows more easily. Take it at the same time, with or without food, exactly as prescribed. Keep taking it even when you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol all help control blood pressure alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you are pregnant or planning to conceive, as this medicine should be stopped in pregnancy. Report marked dizziness or fainting, which can happen if your blood pressure drops too low.
