Irban 5mg Tablet is used to manage stable, symptomatic angina pectoris (chest pain) in adults who cannot take beta-blockers. It is also used to manage chronic heart failure in adults, and stable heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy in children over six months old.
It contains ivabradine, which belongs to a group of medicines known as heart rate-lowering agents. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food, at the same time each day.
Regular gentle exercise as advised by your doctor, along with a heart-healthy diet low in salt and saturated fat, supports better heart health alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any pre-existing heart conditions or other medicines you take. Report any visual disturbances, such as flashes of light, a very slow heartbeat, or worsening chest pain, to your doctor immediately.
