Newtel-40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults and to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiovascular death, particularly in people at high cardiovascular risk. It contains an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax and widen blood vessels.
Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms, and stopping suddenly may cause your blood pressure to rise again.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol intake all support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems, or if you are pregnant or planning to conceive, as this medicine should be stopped during pregnancy. Your doctor may monitor your kidney function and potassium levels regularly.
