CompositionINDITEL 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems in adults at high cardiovascular risk. It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, and also helps protect kidney function.
Telmisartan works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows them, which lowers blood pressure and helps protect the heart and kidneys over time.
Take this tablet daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as this medicine is not suitable in pregnancy. Have your kidney function and blood potassium checked periodically, and report swelling of the ankles, dizziness or unusual tiredness.
