Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 Mg) + Telmisartan (40 Mg)

Telkonol-H Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, with Hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, to lower blood pressure effectively. This combination helps reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems.

Management of high blood pressure or hypertension: This is the most common use for this medicine.
Use in combination with other antihypertensive agents: It can be used alongside other medicines to help reach blood pressure goals.
Initial therapy in patients likely to need multiple medicines: If your doctor suspects you'll need several medicines to manage your blood pressure, they might start you on Telkonol-H Tablet

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't chew or crush it.
You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your preference.
Always take this medicine exactly as advised by your doctor. Don't alter the dose unless your doctor tells you to do so.
Don't stop using this medicine without first speaking with your doctor.

Sinusitis: This is an inflammation or swelling of the tissue lining the sinuses which can cause discomfort.
Diarrhoea
Pharyngitis: An inflammation of the back of the throat, known as the pharynx. It results in a sore throat.
Oedema: This is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues.

Managing the Side Effects:

Diarrhoea: Consider taking Telkonol-H Tablet with food to lessen this effect.
Dizziness: If dizziness occurs after taking this medicine, you might want to take it at bedtime to manage this symptom.

Telkonol-H Tablet consists of the following two components:

Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This ingredient is a diuretic, which means it helps your kidneys remove excess water and salt from your body through urine. By doing so, it relieves the pressure on your blood vessels and thereby reduces high blood pressure.
