Tacroz Forte XL Ointment is used to manage moderate to severe eczema and atopic dermatitis. It controls immune-mediated inflammation to rapidly reduce redness, intense itching, and skin irritation. This ointment provides long-term relief for chronic skin conditions, helping to prevent flare-ups and restore the skin's protective barrier.

To use Tacroz Forte XL Ointment effectively, follow these steps:

• Before application, make sure the affected skin area is clean and dry.
• Apply the ointment to the affected areas as directed by your doctor, and rub it gently and completely into the skin.
• After application, wash your hands; unless they are in the area being affected.
• Do not apply on your skin for more than 6 weeks continuously, without consulting your doctor.

Tacroz Forte XL Ointment contains tacrolimus (0.1%), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits T-lymphocyte activation: Tacrolimus works by inhibiting the activation of T-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that plays a key role in your body's immune response.
• Blocks the production of inflammatory cytokines: The active ingredient tacrolimus binds to a protein inside your cells, forming a complex that prevents the production of inflammatory cytokines, which cause inflammation.
• Reduces skin inflammation: Tacorimus effectively reduces inflammation and itching by blocking the production of inflammatory cytokines and T-lymphocytes.

• Store Tacroz Forte XL Ointment at room temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the ointment tube tightly closed when not in use, to protect it from air and moisture.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• As Tacroz Forte XL Ointment is used to manage eczema, try to identify and avoid triggers that cause flare-ups. These could include certain foods, dust mites, or stress.
• Regular bathing with mild soap and applying moisturisers can help control the dryness and itching associated with this skin condition.
