Composition

Metoprolol Succinate (50 Mg) + Telmisartan (40 Mg)

Starpress T50-XL Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to help control certain heart conditions. By relaxing the blood vessels and steadying the heart rate, it eases the strain on the heart and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. It contains metoprolol succinate and telmisartan.

This medicine is a combination product from the angiotensin receptor blocker and beta-blocker classes, given in an extended-release form. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Continue taking it as prescribed even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.

Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active within your doctor's advice, keeping to a healthy weight and limiting alcohol all support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate, diabetes or kidney problems, and about any other medicines you take. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can cause a rise in heart rate or chest pain. It is not suitable during pregnancy.

Starpress T50-XL Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults with essential hypertension and to support treatment of certain heart conditions when blood pressure needs closer control.

Uses of Starpress T50-XL Tablet are:

High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure in adults with hypertension.
Cardiovascular Protection: Reduces the risk of heart related complications when blood pressure is well controlled.
Heart Failure Support: May be used in certain patients with heart failure, alongside other treatments, as advised by a doctor.

Starpress T 50-XL Tablet should be taken as follows:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
Try to take the medicine at the same time each day for optimal results.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Never double your dose to make up for a missed one.
